I really liked this book, and I'm glad it ended the way it did, because John Green really made the point that death isn't beautiful, and he didn't try to make it so.
I totally agree - it was really sad but it was also not cliched at all. I liked that you think Hazel is the one who is going to die soon and then it turns on her and it's the other way around. It just shows that life is surprising and unfair, which is what the Shakespeare quote about "fault in the stars" is all about.
