Well, we're halfway through the book and I'm not convinced that much has changed. Grace still seems to not talk about herself enough, or if she does, it feels self-preserved. The air of mystery has maybe raised a bit: Hardie and Blake have some sort of secret?
The book feels slow but I'm still rooting for a major twist of some sort because this book does have good reviews! I'd like to say that it reveals some sort of anthropological view of how people act when stranded in a dire situation but not enough has happened to make even that seem satisfying enough. We'll see, I'm rooting for Part 3 to pick up pace!
Agree - still a bit slow. Still don't really have a connection to any of the characters, and haven't seen the sort of "survival" behavior I was expecting of the lifeboat inhabitants at this point. Although it feels like the tide is about to turn (pun intended).
Totally agree - I can't even remember anything distinct that happened in Part 2! But I'll keep reading...at the very least because it's not such a good book that I can't put it down before bed ;) Fingers crossed for some action!
