Yep, still pissed at Franking. He yells at Eva for coddling Celia when that is exactly what he's been doing to Kevin since before he was born.

On another note, the part where Eva remembers the two weeks when Kevin is sick and is actually sweet and needy - it breaks my heart. She says she doesn't know if being sick makes people more themselves or less themselves. What do we think, when it came to Kevin? I wouldn't say that he was himself, but I would say that losing the effort to be malicious made him genuine in his sweet affection toward Eva and Celia and Franklin.

I think that he was sweet because he has a chemical imbalance and being sick make that imbalance, slightly more balanced for a while. Something in the brain isn't functioning right, being sick fixed that, temporarily. I'm so glad everyone read this book, it's going to make the book stick in my head even more than it had. I loved this book, it's twisted, but my kind of twisted. Especially since mental illness runs in my family.
