Next month's book was suggested by my dear friend Dylan and I am super excited about it. I think it is going to be a heavy read but will be extremely thought-provoking and will trigger some good discussion points.

I just bought it on my Nook and if anyone else reads books on the Nook, it's a LEND ME book, so I can lend it to you for free. :-)
Just reserved it at the library - I should have it by Thursday! This looks really great...and for anyone who's interested in this genre, I read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood a few months ago and it was incredible. A look at a future in which women have no rights. Fascinating! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Handmaid%27s_Tale
I've wanted to read The Handmaid's Tale for a while now, I'm going to bump it up my "Read" list. :-)
I started this book last night, and I couldn't put it down! I stayed up reading for two and a half hours last night! :-)
I started the book last night and got just about half way through it already! I am really enjoying where the story line is going. Can't wait to see what happens!
I'm almost done with it too, it's a GOOD one. I highlighted a bunch of parts to talk about as well. :-)
I can't believe no one has commented on when she was in prison and in a clear box where everyone can see her.. ohh and how people can simply turn on the TV and watch her at anytime. How degrading! How would you feel as a parent being able to watch your child on TV in a box for everyone to see and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it? If I was a parent I am sure I would be one of those parents that never leave the house and watch my child all day long just so I know they are safe. What if we could do that now, watch people in prison on TV... Crazy thought huh?
